- Woof, that was a rough two innings for Aaron Sanchez, who gave up 7 runs on 7 hits, a walk and catcher interference in the 2nd and 4th innings combined. Please feel free to correct me if I'm wrong, but I believe this is the first time a starting pitcher (not including openers who just pitched an inning) did not have a strikeout. Sanchez really needs to work on his command because he is getting hit hard and lowering potential trade value.
- Mike Trout single-handedly beat the Blue Jays with a pair of home runs and an RBI single for a whopping 7RBI
- Eric Sogard and Rowdy Tellez basically provided the offence for the Blue Jays, combining to drive in all 6 runs
- It was a rough night defensively with 3 errors on the night (Danny Jansen was called for catcher interference, Lourdes Gurriel Jr. had a fielding error and Derek Law threw the ball away)
- Up next, the Blue Jays try to avoid getting swept in another battle of the lefties with Clayton Richard pitching against Jose Suarez
