Game #123 Toronto Blue Jays (55-67) @ New York Yankees (76-46)

Two guys named Dave.  Both pitched no-hitters.  Dave Stieb & Dave Righetti.  Stieb was a helluva pitcher.

Saturday August 18, 2018 | 1:05 pm Yankee Stadium, | Bronx, NY
Sean Reid-Foley (0-1) 5.40 ERA vs. Luis Severino (15-6) 3.27 ERA

This will be a verrrry interesting game, folks. Oh, probably not.  But you never know, and that's part of why we love baseball!  Our ideal outcome here is that Sean Reid-Foley pitches well and the bats give him a couple runs of support.  I suppose you could say that about any start, dating back to the halcyon days of Dave Stieb. Interestingly, both Reid-Foley and the beloved Mr. Stieb sport moustaches. Whose duster do you prefer?

Seany-boy wants to be considered a helluva pitcher.

Line-ups are as follows:

Your Toronto Bluejays:

White (CF)   .315
Alomar (2B) .330
Molitor (DH) .340

Now, a plug for scoring the ballgame.  Give it a try sometime!  You can print scorecards from the internet, or order a book from Bob Carpenter.  He supplies such luminaries as Buck Martinez & Pat Tabler.  Scoring the game is super fun!

Martine Gaillard once saw me scoring a game and complimented me on it.  Oh baby!

Finally, here is a pic of me and some pals at the 'Dome on a stag ten years ago.  We saw Halladay pitch against the Rays.
I'm the bald fella on the far-right.  I designed these shirts to commemorate our trip.
