Aaron Sanchez (1-1, 1.69, 1.38) vs. Kyle Gibson (0-0, 7.71, 2.04)

PREAMBLE:

The Blue Jays won a road game!  They won despite a TOOTBLAN from Randal Grichuk and a baserunning blunder where a batter (Chris Brandon Drury) lost track of the count and led a baserunner (Teoscar Hernandez) into walking to second base when it was actually ball 3.  Oh well, Teoscar made up for it with a booming, go-ahead 3-run HR.

Funniest thing for me was seeing Charlie Montoyo in the dugout screaming epithets and kicking around with his foot in his first real public display of emotion.  I kinda imagined it going something like this:

Tonight's game 2 features Aaron Sanchez looking to continue his solid start to the season while going up against Kyle Gibson.

NOTES:

Remember all the hubbub during Saturday's game when Blake Snell was pulled after only 82 pitches and six innings with a 1-0 lead against the Jays?  Well, well, well... it seems he was just put on the 10-day IL with a broken toe.  Related, hmm?
