Whether 'tis nobler in the mind to suffer the slings and arrows of outrageous fortune, I cannot say. The noblest thing I've done is offer leftovers to the homeless man I'd sometimes bump into not far from an apartment I lived in in Toronto. The better question is, what will the FO do? I prefer not to speculate. Too frustrating, too exhausting. Something is cooking, though. Wheels are turning. Irons in fires. The Jays need a bat and at least one arm (bullpen) to raise the floor the inch or two necessary to finish the job in 2026. Tough to imagine that's lost on anyone kicking tires. The off-season only got underway three-and-change weeks ago. Lots of time yet 'til Spring Training and all sorts of goodies remain available. Whatever happens next -- trade or signing [ed. ex-KBO'er Cody Ponce is now a Blue Jay] -- the team ought to be better equipped to oppose the metaphorical sea of troubles that lies ahead. Baseball, I mean. The undiscover'd country from whose bourn few fans return.
For monkey touchers everywhere, this is your new thread.
