Here is tonight's game recap.

My Take:
- Kevin Gausman had a solid 1st start of the season, firing 6 solid innings, giving up a pair of runs on 3 hits while walking 1 and striking out 4.. He retired the first 7 batters he faced and the final 5 batters he faced. What was especially encuraging was the good velocity he had going tonight, which made his splitter even nastier.
- The bullpen threw 3 scoreless innings, ceding 3 walks and striking out 5. Nick Sandin was responsible for the 3 walks.
- Offensively, small ball was the key factor. Case in point, they scored 4 of the 5 runs in the 4th inning rally on a bases loaded walk, a wild pitch and 2 sac flies
- A few firsts to note: Alan Roden recorded his first career RBI, Anthony Santander had his first hit in a Blue Jays uniform and scored his first run as a Blue Jay and Nick Sandin recorded his first strikeout as a Blue Jay
- Up next, the Blue Jays go for 2 straight wins and try to take the series lead. Max Scherzer starts against Orioles righty Dean Kremer
