no. 7 2017: Brewers (2-5) at Blue Jays (1-5)

Tuesday 11 April 2017
7:07PM EDT / Rogers Centre

Wily Peralta (RHP 1-0 0.00 5K) v. JA Happ (LHP 0-1 3.86 9K)

Both teams are off to slow starts as this two-game miniseries gets underway. Toronto is 26-14 in home openers since that glorious snowy day in April forty years ago; however, they are 119-161 versus Milwaukee and sub-five hundred (.466) all time in interleague play. You know, for what it's worth.

Of Note: Roberto Osuna (neck) will join his teammates for the first time this season. Although Josh Donaldson's (right) calf issue isn't as serious as initially feared, GM Ross Atkins says he won't see action until Wednesday or Thursday at the earliest, maybe Friday. JP Howell (shoulder strain) has begun throwing again but remains sidelined another week or so. Milwaukee's Peralta hasn't surrendered a run in fourteen straight innings dating back to the end of 2016. Two of the Jays' top five hitters are holding down the six and eight spots in tonight's line-up; a third is on the bench. Ain't early-season baseball grand?
