There's some interesting way stations in the Seattle blogosphere and a surprising amount of long-standing blogs.

Guide to the Rays blogosphere

As I suspected, there's some interesting little way stations in the Rays blogosphere. There's Shadow of the Stadium, which describes itself as "providing perspective on the economics and politics of sports business in Florida...and the Rays' campaign for a new stadium in Tampa Bay." It's run by a real investigative reporter and is fascinating. Then there's Tampa Bay Baseball Market, which covers all the team in the Tampa Bay area. There's a section on Dunedin. It covers attendance, economics, demographics, marketing, even theories on how things are the way they are. Very comprehensive site.

Then there's the more traditional Rays blogs.

Guide to the Twins blogosphere

The Twins have an impressive breath of blogs. There's some really well written ones and some odd-balls.

Guide to the Angels Halosphere

There's some interesting quirks in the Angels Halosphere (as coined by long gone blog Purgatory Online). Angels Insider's owner aggregates beat writers (national as well as local) as well as his own writing and creates game threads where no one comments (sad monkey). 6-4-2 covers both Angels and Dodgers -  it hasn't been updated since spring training but has existed since 2004. The Halo Way is a mlb.com affliate photo blog that features the work of the team's photo services. Why don't we have one of those?

Here are the three more conventional blogs:

For a team that's been in the doldrums for a long time, there's a lot of Padres blogs! Check out these ones.

Cool blogs

While surfing the web for the blogosphere posts I ran across a bunch that were not team specific. They are here for your reading pleasure.

Guide to the Tigersphere

Turns out the Tigers have a rich and varied blogging community. It was really hard to limit to three. A few have fallen by the wayside. One of the longest running blogs, Tiger Tales, is on hiatus as the author has a bunch of personal stuff going on (something I can relate to). The dude writing Tigers Snark (which is a really funny read) quit the team last year. The Daily Fungo has hung up its cleats but still exists as an archive. Walkoff Woodward hasn't posted since May. The names of the departed live on in the blogrolls on all of the sites.

Guide to the Kansas City Royals blogosphere

Kansas City Royals Print by BasicBitchDesigns on Etsy

Praise hallelujah! I got home before 3am tonight so I could finally finish this post.

I found a few blogs that showed promise as independent blogs but none of them had updated past middle of June (guessing the thrill is gone?) so I discounted them. Here's the best of the rest.

Guide to the Colorado Rockies blogosphere

There's not a lot of stuff out there in Rockies land. The Onion even talked about it in reference to Rockies Report. But here's some to check out.

Purple Row

The SB Nation blog named after the row of seats at Coors that designate a mile above sea level. We've already talked about them a bit in regards to Tulo. They consider their strength to be their minor league coverage, what they call Pebble Report. They have the Purple Dinosaur Podcast (no, it's not about Darwin Barney). And for some reason they call their weekly mailbag Football Friday. It's what you've come to expect from a SB Nation blog.

Recent post title: Football Friday: A scary tipping point for the Colorado Rockies looms
(Personally, I think they should have stuck with the url title - The Bachelorette Review)

Rockies Zingers

The ESPN Sweet Spot blog. They have a close relationship with the folks at Purple Row and seem to be the epicenter of Rockies fan info.  Their description of themselves: This is a site by Rockies fans for Rockies fans. There will be some analysis, some silliness, some critiques and some compliments. They don't seem to post every day but have a large and diverse writing staff. (Wait, I think I can relate.) They are active on twitter though. It seems to be similar to here, a community coming together with a SABR background to create a site.

Recent post title: The Truth About Rockies Pitching

Rox Walk Off

This site came about after the demise of Inside the Rockies to keep the community that had sprung up around that site together. (Wait, that sounds familiar too.) INR was started by MSM baseball writers when their day jobs disappeared. They wanted to have a mature conversation around baseball. It's not a large community but they do game threads and occasional other posts. Plus, how can I ignore another baseball blog that has decided to go the donation route?

Recent post title: Tropical Trouble

Bonus:
Some enterprising fan(s) have created Rockies Roster, a place to see the status of every player throughout the organization. It's updated daily. We could use one of these.

Guide to the Chicago White Sox blogosphere

I was pleasantly surprised by what I found out there for the palehose fan. Grab Some Bench! seems to have gone by the wayside and the best known one, The 35th Street Review, died in 2010. These ones are worth checking out.

Guide to the Philadelphia Phillies blogosphere

I was first inclined to look at opposition blogs when Doc was traded. I wanted to know that the fans he was going to were going to appreciate him. Luckily, what I discovered was that they did. Some of them even expressed sympathy for our pain. So I walked away knowing Doc was in good hands.

Guide to the Texas Rangers blogosphere

Since ya'll liked the SF post so much I've doing it for other teams we face this year excepting the AL East teams. (Familiarity does breed contempt.) Sadly, unlike the SF blogs, there aren't any cool post titles or webcomics. There is some good writing though.

Guide to the SF Giants blogosphere

So we're going into San Fran for 3. We know the Giants for their annoying tendency to win the WS in an even year. And guess what this is?

Turns out that they have quite the robust online communities. Here's a guide to the best:

Fun at DRays Bay

So it's almost 2am and I need something to go up by noon (which is about when I wake up) so I took a swing by DRays Bay. I am blatantly ripping off the concept from Joanna, whose trips to SOSH during Sux series are a highlight of her blog. Don't expect this to be as funny.
