#109 - Toronto Blue Jays (49-59) at Seattle Mariners (63-46)

A display at the Szimpla Kert ruin pub in Budapest.
What?  It's baseball-related because clearly that mannequin represents the red-hot naked passion of a Blue Jays fan who travels to other ballparks, no?   Yes, I say so.  Because.  Go ahead and tell Mom.

#84 - Detroit Tigers (37-48) at Toronto Blue Jays (39-44)

Monday, July 2, 2018 | 1:07 pm
Rogers Centre | Toronto, ON
Mike Fiers (5-5, 4.04, 1.29 whip) vs. Ryan Borucki (0-1, 3.00, 1.67 whip)

PREAMBLE:

The Tigers finally snapped an ugly 11-game losing streak in a big way with a 9-1 win over J.A. "Trade Bait" Happ.

The season series between the Tigers and the Blue Jays is deadlocked at 3 wins each, and the Blue Jays will be looking to win the season series while maintaining their overall home-field dominance over the Tigers in recent years.

Ryan Borucki makes his second major-league start in what should be a less hostile environment, to say the least.  Instead of facing the defending World Series champions on the road, he'll be facing a Miggy-less Tigers squad at home.  Let's see how the kid does today.

#79 - Toronto Blue Jays (37-41) at Houston Astros (52-28)

Tuesday, June 2, 2018 | 8:10 pm ET
Minute Maid Park | Houston, Texas
Ryan Borucki (First MLB appearance) vs. Charlie Morton (9-1, 2.74, 1.13 whip)

PREAMBLE:

The first of Blue Jays' top-10 young talent has arrived in Houston to make his major league debut against the team that is tied for the most victories in the majors and the defending World Series champions.  No pressure at all, kid.  Go get 'em, Ryan Borucki.

Including last night's loss, the Astros have gone 3-3 after a 12-game winning streak, so hopefully the Jays have caught them at the right time to make it a competitive series.

So, have you cleaned your shorts after that near-HR by George Springer with two runners on in the 9th inning last night?  Thanks to Randal Grichuk, we can breathe easier and look forward to tonight's game with the attitude that whatever good happens tonight with Borucki is gravy.
